How do I install my Magnum front carrier rack?Updated a year ago
You’ll need a couple of supplies to install your front carrier rack:
A zip tie
A 4mm hex wrench
Below are instructions for installation; you also click here to watch a video.
There are 4 bolts and washers on your e-bike’s head tube: 2 on the front, 1 on the left, and 1 on the right. Unscrew and remove all of them.
Slide all your wiring out of the way, to the left side of your stem.
Line up the holes on the rack to the holes in your head tube.
Screw in one of the side bolts (either left or right) using 2 full turns of the hex wrench.
This might not fully tighten the bolt — that’s ok! You’ll fully tighten all bolts later.
Now screw in both front bolts with 2 full turns of the hex wrench.
Then, screw in whichever side bolt you haven’t attached yet.
Double-check that you don’t have any wires caught between the head tube and the rack! If any are stuck, you won’t have full range of motion on your handlebars, which can be dangerous.
Now tighten all 4 bolts evenly until fully tightened, making sure the rack sits level.
Lastly, secure all wires to the front of your rack with your zip tie.
